A good reason to go outside is to visit the Scottish Football Museum and put your head in the wound. A great opportunity to pay tribute to the team with a visit to one of the most famous stadiums in the world, the Glasgow City Stadium.
Public transport from Glasgow to Loch Lomond is possible as Falkirk is very close to Stirling, but this will be somewhat limited. I recommend visiting both places on the same day and visiting Glasgow by your own transport.
Alternatively, there are private tours that only take you to the distilleries, but I have not found any tours that run from Glasgow to Edinburgh, so I have done this on my own.
I would also strongly recommend to spend some time during your stay in Glasgow itself to get more reading and inspiration, see the end of this article for some inspiration. One of the best ways to get an authentic look at a real distillery is to take a day trip from Glasgow and get to it easily. This is a must-visit if you visit this part of Scotland and is one of my favourite places in Scotland, the vast majority of which is free.
You don't have to walk far from Glasgow city centre to find some interesting attractions worth visiting. If you are interested in the transport and history of this city, you will find that this is one of the best ways to visit Glasgow. Bebe, a free museum and gallery, can be useful if you're not blessed with sunny weather in the cities.
